Simplify the following:

6 a b - 3 x + 2 a b

Grouping like terms, 6 a b - 3 x + 2 a b = -3 x + (6 a b + 2 a b):

-3 x + (6 a b + 2 a b)

a b 6 + a b 2 = 8 a b:
