x^2 + 14x + 17 + 96 = 0

Simplify x^2 + 14x + 17 + 96 to x^2 + 14x + 113

x^2 + 14x + 133 = 0

Use the Quadratic Formula

x = -14 + 16i/2, -14 - 16i/2

Simplify solutions

x = -7 + 8i, -7 - 8i
