In "Shooting an Elephant," the Burmese people see the British as imperialists and colonialists. They have negative feeling towards the. As Orwell reflects it the Burmese were treated with cruelty by the British and they suffered physical violence. For example, their prisiones were locked in small cages while they were hurt with bamboo sticks.
