ocean waves could be the example of both circular and transverse waves. sometimes, ocean waves could move in an up and down (~~~~~~~) wave. sometimes the ocean waves could move in circular waves, [((((O))))] so it depends on the movement. I would mostly choose transverse waves, though, since most of the time, 'ocean waves' are meant to be such kind of movement [~~~~~~~~~~~~~~].
