5x + 4y = 20

4y = 20 - 5x

y = 20/4 - 5/4x

y = 5 - 5/4x

The x intercept is when y = 0

0 = 5 - 5/4x

5/4x = 5

x = 4.5/5

x = 4

The y intercept is when x = 0

y = 5 - 5/4x

y = 5 - 5/4.0

y = 5
