Answer:one example of this would definitely be the 3/5ths compromise where slaves would be considered 3/5ths of a person. the courts would not view the death of a slave as a crime because of this compromise since they are considered property. the community also did not consider the death of a slave as a crime because if a slave were to have died because of another person, it would be settled that compensation would be paid rather than to have punished the person who had killed the slave.
