Rh+ blood can be given only once to a non-sensitized person who is Rh- because it develops antibodies and after one exposure blood will be rejected. If an Rh- person is sensitive to Rh+ blood and receives a transfusion of Rh+ blood, it is likely that the donors cells will be rejected and the blood cells will be killed.
