Solve the perimeter formula for an isosceles triangle, p=2a+b, solve for b.

b= p/2a

b=p -2a

b= 2a/p

b=p+2a

Take 2a to the other side as a negative number

So that b= p/2a (option a)

B= p-2a
Just subtract 2a from b to get b by itself and if you move b over to the other side you can subtract by p and then divide be the negative
