4 × x = 4x
4 × 3 = 12
4(x + 3) = 4x + 12
-
6 × x = 6x
6 × 2 = 12
6(x + 2) = 6x + 12
-
The expression expanded is 4x + 12 + 6x + 12
If you wanted to simplify it, you would add like terms (6x + 4x, 12 + 12) to get 10x + 24
Hope this helps!
