What is the equation of a line with a slope of 7 and a point (1, 8) on the line?

Express the equation in the form of y=mx+by=mx+b , where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

y=mx+b
8 = 7(1) +b
8 -7 = b
1 = b so b = 1

y-intercept so it  has the same slope m = 7
