Fort the most part, objective validity is more important when dealing with proofs or statements that aim at matters of fact, universality and the possibility of corroboration, like in journalism or hard sciences, like physics; however, subjective validity can be more important if one is dealing with facts or interpretations that relate to one person´s mind only, like in psychoanalysis, or in the process of artistic creation.
