The tendency of the person to act that way is because of overgeneralization. It is a way of a person having to conclude something base on a given scenario that will make it likely to lead to that path. It is shown above as because of her failure of having to have a pass and get admitted, she thinks that she won't be able to get into any medical school which is a form of overgeneralization.
