Chagas' diseases is transmitted by a bug with mouth parts that penetrate blood vessels. This represents a PARENTERAL ROUTE of exposure.
The bug responsible for Chagas' disease is triatomine bug that carry the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi. It is a lethal disease. The parenteral exposure or transmission refers to any exposure to a pathogen through percutaneous exposure where the skin is penetrated or broken.
