Similarities-ME and the RE both relied heavily on praying for medicine. They had a strong catholic faith and would pray every time someone was ill.
Differences- ME had a civil way of who was going to rule after the Royal's death. They would just have the oldest boy child become ruler. If they didn't have a boy, they would use their oldest daughter and she would marry. The RE had many people killing each other just to get to the throne
