Common question that is always asked : "Why does it take 3 copies of 1/6 to show the same amount as 1 copy of 1/2".Well let me show you how it works.=> 3 of 1/6 to makw 1/2First, i'll show you the 3 copies of 1/6 added together=> 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 = 3/6, since they already have the same denominator, we directly added it.=> now, notice that 3/6 can be divided with or simplified=> 3/6 divided by 3 = 1/2Hence, that's how it becomes 1/2
